Well after a little time waiting to see if subscribing to the General Discussion forum would result in e-mails being sent, it would appear that the feature either doesn't work or works differently than we thought during the meeting. Really a bummer since the latest post from Markleford shows how communications seem to get lost here.
It's not all bad news though. I have figured out that you can do an RSS subscription to the forum which should suffice for letting people know when there are new posts. For anyone who doesn;t know what I am talking about, watch this video http://www.makeuseof.com/tech-fun/rss-for-tech-challenged-people-video/ it is the best explanation of what RSS feeds are and how they work that I have ever seen. After you've watched that video or if you already know how to use RSS, just pop in this URL (http://bostonxna.org/forums/aggregaterss.aspx?Mode=0) and you'll be able to kepe track of the forum here a little easier.
